DE BAYSER
EXHIBITION JEAN LASNE
The gallery will present a group of 15 paintings, 35 drawings and 10 sculptures that come directly from the atelier situated rue Huygens in Montparnasse where Jean Lasne settled in 1936.
Jean Lasne worked for a very brief period of time since he died aged 28 in 1940. His work is nonetheless solid and mature. He produced during his ten years of activity around 200 paintings, 70 bodycolours and 450 drawings. His works are shown in different French Museums such as the Paris Museum of Modern Art, the Musuem of the 30's and the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen where a Jean Lasne cabinet was opened in 1994.
